Pausing my hobby to pacify the gods for a month

Image
Imagine having to pause a hobby you love doing so much for a whole month. How you feel is exactly what I am going through till the end of the “ban on noise making” in Teshie in preparation for the Homowo festival. Music to me is life. Loud music is all I need to have a sound mind and be at peace with myself. I wake up to loud music and sleep with loud music because it’s my haven. I moved to Teshie just a week before the ban. Insights from this week's lesson

Today’s class as always was an interactive one although I was late for class. We delved into the characteristics of new media. We explored how new media is reshaping the way we connect and consume information. A number of characteristics was mentioned, but our lecturer has challenged us to mention a characteristic that isn’t in the slides which means we have to do more research and understand what we’ve been taught and by so doing, we become good students. However, amidst all the characteristics we discussed, there’s one aspect that deserves a closer look - Real-time Updates. Real-time Updates: New media platforms provide real-time updates and instant access to breaking news, events, and trends. This immediacy fosters a sense of timeliness and relevance, keeping users informed and engaged with current events.  This is a characteristic that I personally relate to. In conclusion,  new media offers unmatched opportunities for communication and expression. That’s a wrap for t...
